Dahab is a place of great natural beauty, both underwater and above; with the most amazing reefs just below the surface and rugged mountains up close and personal. Below are just some of the options to enjoy to explore this amazing part of Sinai.

Camel! Ras Abu Gallum Safari Trail

Camel Safaris

Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a Lawrence of Arabia? Then put on your Bedouin head scarf and try something unique to Dahab ...a Camel Safari. Here the Camel takes your dive gear and you head up the coast to the most remote sites Dahab has to offer. Riding along these ancient camel trails, either North to Ras Abu Galum or south to Gabr El Bint, the amazing coastal path gives you a breathtaking view of the scenery while your sturdy Camel gets you there safely.

What will I see there?

After some traditional Bedouin Tea, you kit up for your first dive. As this area is harder to get to, the coral reef is in pristine condition, and thus is very rewarding, with sights not seen elsewhere - like the massive schools of Glass Fish, a unique school of Red Mouthed Trigger Fish, lots of Altheas, and sometimes, if you are good, a Turtle! Amazing coral and fishes to be seen with an untouched quality rarely witnessed elsewhere.

What will it be like on Safari?

Settled in the spacious shade of a Bedouin hut, you can enjoy a hearty Bedouin lunch of; fire cooked chicken, rice, salad, freshly cooked Bedouin Bread and Tea. After a nice break, you are ready then to do the second dive of the day. There is also a chance to chat and buy bracelets and small gifts from the local Bedouin girls. Just before Sunset, you start off back to home. The Camels now carrying slightly lighter gear (as you have now eaten the food and breathed the tank air:)) Enjoy the sunset on the way home and marvel at how your camel knows his way home!

Boat Safaris (Day) from £45 pp

Boat Safaris are another great way to enjoy the more remote dive sites of Dahab, either in the North or South Marine Protected National Parks. We choose the best boat available and stick to small numbers and your own guide too. The safari includes; transfers to and from the Marine (where the boat departs) lunch, freshly cooked on board as well as snacks and drinks are provided throughout the day. A fun day out for all (including non-divers who can enjoy snorkeling off the boat) and a joy to see the Dahab coast from the sea.
