Facilities in Your Room
Wi-Fi: available within the resort, just ask a team member for the latest password.
Single or Double bed: all supplied with toppers and protectors.
Fridge: with complimentary snacks and drinks.
Water dispenser: remember to bring/use your own refillable bottle.
Safe: we have left your personal safe, ready for use.
- Press reset button…find this on the inside of the door near the hinge.
- The orange lights start.
- Input your personal code 3-8 digits.
- If the orange lights flash, then it’s not worked and you need to try again.
Air-Con (summer) Do not set for below 26 degrees in summer or this might make you sick.
Please remember to switch it off for the sake of the environment.
Heater (winter) we supply a plug-in oil heater for your room and winter duvets.
En Suite Bathroom (towels, liquid hand soap, toilet roll)
Tea & Coffee making facilities (electric kettle)
Room Cleaning: We offer 2 levels of cleaning:
- Eco-clean only no clean sheets or towels needed.
- Full clean.
Simply hang out your wooden ‘room cleaning’ sign showing which you prefer.
Laundry: we can do for a small charge (unless you have booked for fully inclusive) just hand your laundry bag to a team member.
Doctor: if you are not feeling well, let us know and we can arrange for a doctor to visit. (if you suspect you might have Covid, then please keep your distance and remain in your room)
Towels: we supply room towels but also have beach towels upon request.
Toilet: please do not throw tissue or sanitary products in the toilet, the plumbing in Dahab cannot take it, please put in the bin. There is a tap next to the toilet for washing, open it…s l o w l y ☺
Alcohol: We do not sell alcohol on site, but feel free to purchase locally and keep in your room fridge.
Food Urge- on site restaurant
Food Urge is open from 8am -8pm every day.
We have a wide selection of European and Egyptian dishes for you to enjoy, but as we prepare everything freshly, do ask if you fancy something that is not on the menu and ask for how you’d like it…
If you have any special dietary requirements or serious food allergies, please let us know.
Beach Use
We are based on the shore of Eel Garden, a famous site for snorkelling and diving, named because of the garden eels that live on the slopes.
Check with one of our team members before swimming to check conditions are safe enough and please take advice on where to enter and exit.
Do not walk on the reef table. Corals are living animals and any contact can seriously damage them.
To keep the beach a nice place for all, we kindly ask you not to play your own music on a boom box/stereo… Guests come to the beach for the sound of the waves ☺
If any injuries do occur, seek the advice of a Dive Urge team member asap (they are trained in First Aid)

Say No to Single Use Plastic
You can help us to reduce single use plastic:
– Use your own refillable bottle (available locally if you have not brought your own) Large mineral water dispensers are provided in your room.
– Refuse plastic bags at the shops (we can provide a Dive Urge cotton shopping bag, if you do not have your own)
4:1 Underwater Ratio
We keep our group sizes are kept deliberately small to minimize the possible damage to the aquatic environment and also to enhance your experience.
Recycle Collection
Please note that we have recycle bins both inside the club and on the beach for plastic, glass and cans. These are all collected and sorted locally before being sent to Cairo for processing. Our entire kitchen left over’s go to our goats, who are happy to help.
And remember… if you see rubbish pick it up, whether on the beach or in the water. Every little helps!
Save Energy
Please help our environment by limiting the electricity you use while you are here.
– Use air-con only when you need it (think of the environment) and not below 26 degrees if possible (too cold and you might get sick too)
– Please remember to turn it off when you leave your room
Save Water
We are located in the middle of the desert and Dahab’s water supply is limited.
Please try to take shorter showers and don’t leave the tap running when you are brushing your teeth.
What to do when you are not diving?
Pool Table
The pool table is situated in the main dome area of Dive Urge for you to enjoy. There are also backgammon boards if you wish to hone your skills or take on one of the Dive Urge Crew.
It is important to drink plenty of water while you are here… so why not have your own water carrier, keeping your water cool and making sure you drink plenty.
* And works well as a wine cooler when your home too.
